Álvaro Seiça

Short biography: 

Álvaro Seiça is a writer and researcher. His most recent poetry books are Ensinando o Espaço (não (edições), forthcoming 2017), Ö (Self-published, 2014) and permafrost: 20+1 zeptopoemas sms (Bypass Editions, 2012). His publications include Transdução: Processos de Transferência na Literatura Electrónica e Arte Digital (Edições Húmus, 2016). In 2007, he co-founded Bypass, a nomadic editorial and curatorial project. He currently lives in Bergen, Norway, where he is a PhD fellow in Digital Culture at the University of Bergen, Humanities Faculty, Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies. Seiça is a researcher on electronic literature and digital art at the Bergen Electronic Literature Research Group and editor of the ELMCIP Knowledge Base (http://elmcip.net). His PhD dissertation, "setInterval(): Time-Based Readings of Kinetic Poetry" (2017), focus on digital poetry, how time and space shape digital kinetic poetics. alvaroseica.net @AlvaroSeica
