Short biography: 

In 2006, Fabio De Vivo took his master degree cum laude in “Foreign Languages and Literatures” at University of Basilicata with a thesis on J. D. Salinger’s Uncollected Short Stories. The graduation thesis named “Una luce che si adombra. The Complete Uncollected Short Stories of J. D. Salinger” is available at The National Library of Potenza. In these years his studies have dealt with Anglo-American and Hispanic-American Literature. Since 2009, he is a member of A.N.I.L.S. Basilicata Council (Associazione Nazionale Insegnanti Lingue Straniere). In the last three years, he has taught Italian Language to Spanish Students, English Language to Italian Students and he has worked as interpreter in Spanish Language. He spent a year between Dublin and Barcelona where he improved his linguistic skills and enriched his literary competences (Dublin School of English / Universitat De Girona).

In 2007, Fabio De Vivo has started an independent research on experimental literature and afterwards he has started a P.h.D. in “e-Learning, Knowledge Management and Psychology of Communication” (2008-2010) at University of Macerata. He took his P.h.D. in 2011. In his doctoral studies, he has carried out a practical and theoretical research about Electronic Literature with an epistemological, hermeneutical, and pedagogical approach. The doctoral thesis named “eLiterature. Critical Analysis, Interpretative Guidance, Potentialities and Application Possibilities” is available in The National Libraries of Rome and Florence and afterwards it will be published in a monographic volume. His research work has been mentioned by several national newspapers as in the Corriere della Sera with the article “Arriva  la Letteratura Elettronica” (08/01/2011) and in the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno (21/01/11). He is the administrator of several websites on eLiterature, among these the forum “eLiterature & Net Art” (2008), the Public Facebook Web Page “eLiterature” (2009), the blog “eLiterature & Electronic Literature” (2009), and Twitter @ eLiteratures. Within the eLiterature Research Project, Fabio De Vivo is working at the European eLiterature Collection as the main editor, a project whose aim is to assist in formalizing Digital Literature in Europe.
