  1. A.

    A. is video reader grafted over a text generator : videos run depends on reading time of the text.

    A. is proposed as an exchange for Les Objets d'Hélène by Gwenola Wagon, who wants to transform an heritage full wtih objects into a collection of stories over each object. I exchange this text generator with an Hélène's book, La douane de mer by Jean d'Ormesson.

    A. is the last word of the fragment of the book readed by this generator. "La" is allways the begining and "A." is allways the end of the text.

  2. truth, or ILLUSION?

A codework piece readable by humans in an HTML editor. On Sondheim's UbuWeb: Contemporary page, here's the paratext: "INSTRUCTIONS: Cut and paste into your own html editor, convert into html document, and view in browser."

As Sondheim states, it is text before and after the "wonder" of resurfacing: "(...) some of the letters are represented by their codes; in the second, the upper ascii codes are inserted between the mayas, illusions. So the translations work with codes into codes, implying codes all the way up and down …

There's also of course the wonder—James Ellroy and Merleau-Ponty both talk about wonder—which comes with the text emerging as readable. Of course it was text before and after as well …

In my dialup program, there are also colors in the second piece—"maya-prayer-extension" standing out—the chanting of the syllables of god, speaking the unspeakable …"

  9. The Dionaea House

The Dionaea House is a horror hypertext fiction with a plot revolving around a predatory, supernatural house which exists in multiple places at once. The work's title references the Latin name of the Venus flytrap (Dionaea Muscipula), a carnivorous plant with multiple heads which uses scent to lure in insects, that it then traps and consumes.

The Dionaea House’s story is split into multiple, loosely connected parts, each either hosted as an individual website or a blog.

The central hub of the story was hosted on a website entitled "The Dionaea House: Correspondence from Mark Condry, September 6, 2004 - October 1, 2004". This site, maintained by a fictional version of the author Eric Heisserer, is split into into two sections. The first section details a series of emails received from Mark Condry, an old friend of Eric’s who has received a newspaper clipping in the mail describing a double murder and suicide committed by another old friend, Andrew. Mark decides to investigate, but disappears after sending a series of text messages from within a house that irrevocably changed Andrew.

  10. El cerebro de Edgardo (El inventor de historias)

El inventor de historias -The Stories Inventor- is a net that articulates texts, images –reproductions and photography, digital audiovisual installations and diverse conferences and seminars. In the Internet we can see Edgardo’s brain-the inventor-in action. Edgardo, tells stories of every kind. This narrative emerges from the random algorithm that moves through a semantic web, recombining words and keeping correct grammar. This net is represented in 3D using visualization, with this the “brain” of Edgardo can be discovered. The complete installation is composed by the brain –digital algorithm-, the face –video- and the body –photography.
