    Minicontos Coloridos é uma forma sinestésica de escrever ficção, pois todos os minicontos foram produzidos a partir da cor. São 3 gradações para cada uma das 3 cores primárias da luz (escala RGB), totalizando 27 minicontos. Futuramente a ideia é ampliar para 5 gradações de cada cor, o que totalizaria 125 minicontos. O objetivo principal é fazer com que o leitor tenha uma nova experiência de leitura de ficção, precisando intervir para ler o maior número de textos possíveis. As histórias em si são por vezes trágicas, por vezes irônicas, poucas vezes românticas. Pela extrema concisão e ausência de título, cabe ao leitor buscar nas entrelinhas o desfecho, devendo usar também a cor para dar completude ao sentido das histórias Com experiências como essa buscamos demonstrar que a literatura existe para além dos livros, existe também em ambientes digitais, utilizando para sua construção ferramentas próprias dessas novas mídias.   2. Un relato de amor desamor

    Esta es una historia en la que se habla de amor. Pero también cuenta qué pasa cuando ese amor se acaba. Un chico y una chica eran muy felices hasta que dejaron de serlo. ¿Qué pasa entonces? Para explicarlo, en este relato se dan las dos versiones: la de la época feliz y la de la época del desamor. En ambas el lector podrá seguir el hilo de los recuerdos del chico, que es el ha sido abandonado. Pero este no es un relato tradicional. Los poemas de amor del chileno Pablo Neruda servirán de hilo conductor de esta narración.

  3. El postrero deseo de Eugenia Villasans

    El lector se encuentra, en un primer nivel de lectura con una carta de Eugenia Vilasans, que se superpone a una fotografía en sepia de ella. La carta fue escrita en 1926 y permaneció escondida hasta que muriera la autora, quien confiesa la historia de su adulterio. Después de esta introducción, un link invita a acudir al escritorio de Vilasans para recomponer la historia, en donde se exponen, a modo de papeles sueltos, los fragmentos dispersos. La imagen resulta una buena metáfora del hipertexto. Postales, recortes de periódicos, hojas de diarios personales con diferentes fechas, cartas del amante, conforman la trama. Un relato epistolar que debe ensamblarse con un puzzle.

    El usuario se mete en la piel de un investigador que debe introducirse en una mansión para resolver el misterio de una sospechosa muerte. A través de opciones excluyentes el usuario avanza en la investigación, pero debe ser cauteloso o el investigador morirá antes de resolver el caso.

  5. The Tower of Jezik

    Initiated during the 2014 Erasmus intensive program in Digital Literatures, The Tower of Jezik is a hyperfiction intended for teenagers that primarily questions language and its possible inefficiency. Set in an imaginary world which calls medieval times to mind, the reader follows a young boy chasing his cat over the rooftops of his small village. Through a window, the boy sees an old man brewing something in a cauldron and believes he is in fact a wizard about to cast a spell. The old man sees him spying and the boy falls from the window, hits his head and loses consciousness. When he wakes up, he can no longer understand what people are saying and, convinced that the villagers were indeed cursed by a powerful sorcerer, he sets out to find the mythical Tower of Jezik and bring language back to his people. The prototype for Tower of Jezik was originally developed in HTML to be read in web browsers. However, it is currently being remediated in ePub 3 by Émilie Barbier, as part of the Textualités Augmentées workshop at Paris 8 University.

    We Are Angry is a a 360 degree digital fiction, fusing traditional fictional text storytelling with other media, bolstered by real news content and annotations. The work sets a political tone, discussing women's rights and rape culture.

    The artist states: "We are living in mixed media times and yet rarely do we find the media coalescing in a truly integrated and artistic way, a way that could take storytelling - especially issue-based storytelling - to another level, not replacing books or the linear text experience, but offering another construct."

  8. AUTHENTIC IN ALL CAPS

    AUTHENTIC IN ALL CAPS is a web audio adventure about the meaning of death. It draws audio drama, audio tours and alternate reality gaming. The use of audio is an attempt to create a sense of unity in a highly fragmented experience. I see the techniques and experience of audio tours as a way to bring disparate elements together. Just as an audio tour involves guiding a listener to different places, this audio experience guides players to different websites. I include both custom and existing sites, and so this project continues my interest in pervasive design: where the players’ world is part of the fictional world. The story is born out of the pain of suddenly losing my mother, and facing the meaninglessness of my life. I got past heaviness of the subject matter by drawing on my early days in sketch comedy theatre, unifying the disparate times of my life.

  9. Wandering Meimei / Meimei Liu Lang Ji

    Wandering Meimei / Meimei Liu Lang Ji is a bilingual interactive fiction app designed for mobile interfaces for the Chinese market. This story is an intertext to the traditional Chinese comic strip, Sanmao Liu Lang Ji (Wandering Sanmao), a homeless boy. Meimei, meaning little sister, is an allegorical character and contemporary representation of the largest migrant population the world has ever seen: the migrant female factory worker. Through the app, you can make contact with the character Meimei who works in a smartphone factory in the Pearl River Delta city Guangzhou. Meimei's only technology and access point to the outside world is through her own phone. The social media hub and interface enable you to enter and become a part of Meimei's story.

  10. (Re)Playing The Lottery

    (Re)Playing The Lottery is a dynamic reinterpretation of Shirley Jackson's famous short story, "The Lottery." It presents a scenario in which the interactor is a a citizen of the small town on the day of the fateful lottery, and must move through the story by making various choices which result in random outcomes - no matter how many times the story is played, past results are no guide to future outcome. Just as the story hinges on the chance selection of a marked ballot from a box, this piece employs chance selection as its central mechanic, demonstrating one way in which interactive media can help readers inhabit and interrogate existing texts from multiple perspectives.
