Samplers: Nine Vicious Little Hypertexts
Deena Larsen's Samplers: Nine Vicious Little Hypertexts was originally published on 3.5-inch floppy disk for Macintosh and PC computers in 1997; it was released later that year on CD-ROM for both platforms. Larsen reports that she produced the work on her Macintosh computer and had not seen the PC version until years later ("Interview"). The work was created with Storyspace 1.2C and requires 5.5 MB of space. It is the second major work by Larsen and follows two years after the success of her opus, Marble Springs(1993). Contained among the nine little hypertexts is Century Cross, a work that was published as a solo work two years after Samplers Version 1.0 was released.

Reagan Library
Reagan Library is an odd mixture of stories and images, voices and places, crimes and punishments, connections and disruptions, signals on, noises off, failures of memory, and acts of reconstruction. It goes into some places not customary for "writing." I think of it as a space probe. I have no idea what you'll think.

The piece seems to become more and more confusing as the writing continues. Demonstrates certain aspects of the writings becoming more incoherent, showing older graphic pictures of areas that seem lost, and bizarre, regarding the context of Reagan Library. The texts describe certain scenarios as well such as the Doctor asking what appears to be a patient to perform tasks involving one of the graphics, the piece goes on from the doctor's narration of the person's ability to perform the given tasks involving the image.

RA-DIO
In 1993 the first Italian hypertext novel, Ra-Dio, was published on floppy-disk along with a print edition. Lorenzo Miglioli aimed to break traditional schemes of Italian literature exactly as Sex Pistols’ punk renovated musical panoramas in the 70's. Thus, this work has not been corrected on its orthography aspects and it has some obscene and disturbing content, that had their ultimate success in the group of Italian writers named “Cannibali”, founded later on. “RA-DIO, 1993, was thought as a readymade […] Ra-Dio has to be kept closed, in its cellophane, that one is the exhibited work. Marcel Spalding's Um Estudo em Vermelho (in English, A Study in Scarlet) is a detective story with eight possible endings, which are defined by the reader's choices in three decisive moments. The technique used is the combinatorial analysis in order to make the endings have straight relation with the path chosen by the reader along the reading.

Nada tiene sentido (Nothing makes sense) by Isabel Ara and Iñaki Lorenzo is a digital diary whose narrator is desperate because he cannot get out of his bedroom, the only thing he can do is typing how he feels on his computer. Once we are reading and watching this autobiography we realize that we are reading the reflections of a schizophrenic person that finishes by losing the logical word order and whose identity is fragmented until it dissolves itself into the virtual space.
