Electronic Literature in Ireland Research Collection
This collection comprises creative and critical works from Ireland, on Ireland, and by Irish scholars and practitioners, in English and in Irish. It encompasses born digital fiction and poetry, as well as remediated works of oral and print literature in digital and/or online media. The collection is partially motivated by the need to understand how Irish literary culture adapts itself to, or engages with, the changing technological and media landscape. However, it opts for a relatively wide definition of what is meant by “Irish” literature, acknowledging the permeability of geographical and cultural borders in the digital age. Works engaging with Irish themes or topics by non-Irish writers and literature of the Irish diaspora, for example, may also be included in this collection.
