Todd Taylor
My earliest research examined scholarly writing and publication and resulted in two coedited collections: Writing and Publishing for Academic Authors (Rowman & Littlefield) and Publishing in Rhetoric and Composition (SUNY Press). My more recent work investigates how concepts of literacy are changing in response to advanced communication technologies. In 1998, I coedited Literacy Theory after the Internet (Columbia University Press) with Irene Ward. And I have completed a second edition of The Columbia Guide to Online Style, with my coauthor, Janice Walker. I was the founder and editor of CCC Online and The CCCC Bibliography of Composition and Rhetoric: 1984 to 1999. In 2005 I won an award for the multimedia perfromance "The End of Composition." In 2007 I coauthored (with Bump Halbritter) the first peer-reviewd scholarly film in composition studies, Remembering Composition. And in 2009 Bedford/St, Martin's published Take 20, a film for writing teachers by writing teachers. Click here for more details about my work.
