Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas - FCSH) forms part of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The Faculty is a legal person in public law, with academic, pedagogic, administrative and financial autonomy.

The Faculty's mission is one of public service to improve the academic level of citizens and, in particular, Portuguese citizens, in the areas of social sciences and humanities.

In keeping with this mission, the Faculty aspires to the following aims:

a) excellence in teaching and research in the specialist areas of social sciences and humanities, both at a national and international level;

b) a clear commitment to innovation and interdisciplinarity;

c) the establishing, spread and support of a humanistic culture;

d) providing services to the community in these same areas.
