The Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is a public French-language university located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was founded in 1969 by the government of Quebec, through the merger of the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, a fine arts school; the Collège Sainte-Marie, a classical college; and a number of smaller schools. UQAM offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees.

Ludion

Ludión es el espacio web en el que nuestro colectivo de investigación –surgido de sucesivos proyectos radicados desde 2003 en el Instituto Gino Germani de la Universidad de Buenos Aires– explora el campo de las poéticas tecnológicas, entendidas como particulares formulaciones en las que los distintos lenguajes artísticos asumen explícitamente su inserción en el mundo técnico que les es contemporáneo. Esto implica atender con singular interés las relaciones entre el arte y la técnica, que al menos desde finales del siglo XIX se constituyen en zona de tensión, en la medida en que la vida se conforma como espacio técnico inéditamente omnipresente. Y si bien el arte, en el proceso de su autonomización moderna, se había ilusionado con cierto halo de inmunidad, no pudo evitar ser arrastrado por la tecnificación general del mundo, que a lo largo del último siglo adquiere escala planetaria y deviene, literalmente, atmósfera.

Stanford Literary Lab

The Stanford Literary Lab discusses, designs, and pursues literary research of a digital and quantitative nature. The Lab is open to all students and faculty at Stanford – and, on a more ad hoc basis, to students and faculty from other institutions.

We engage in a variety of projects, ranging from dissertation chapters to individual and group publications, lectures, courses, conference panels, and even short books. Typically, our research takes the form of a group “experiment,” and extends over a period of one or two years. Under“Projects” you will find a list of our current activities, most of which are open to further collaboration; under “People”, a list of those associated with our research. And you can download all our published work under the heading of“Pamphlets”.
