   Deviant: The Possession of Christian Shaw is an animated interactive graphic based on the historical story of Christian Shaw and her demonic possession. Set in 1696 amongst the witch trials, this project explores new ways of experiencing a story — harnessing the allure of mystery and uneasy tensions and plucking the participant's sense of social responsibility.    It’s a visual game and almost non-textual. You play by clicking on the active areas. It’s not always easy to see the areas so you need to click around and just try for a while. There are sounds when you click on different areas. The game takes place in something looking like a small town, and smaller images pops up when you click on items.

2. of day, of night

   of day, of night is an experimental interactive narrative / hypertext/ electronic literature work produced in Macromedia Director 6.0 by Australian artist Megan Heyward that fuses moving image, literary, game and interactive aesthetics into interactive digital form. It received initial production funding of $76K AUD from the Australian Film Commission (now Screen Australia) in 1999 and was exhibited internationally from 2001 to 2013 and published by Eastgate Systems, Inc. in 2004. To date, it is the only interactive narrative/ hypertext developed by a writer from outside North America.

   The plot of the story involves a woman who has lost the ability to dream. She sets a series of creative tasks in order to start dreaming again; such as finding and collecting objects from various locations in the DAY (a street, market, river and café), imagining their fictional traces and histories, and rearranging the objects. As the user traverses the work, objects, memories and histories collide and create new meanings in the regained dream environment of NIGHT.

4. Dadaventuras

   In English and Spanish, by Chris Joseph in collaboration with artist Maria Colino, Dadaventuras is an experiment in aleatory narrative, using comic book conventions to generate stories from 8 distinct but overlapping perspectives.

   The language of our narrative is hybrid (from the greek 'hybris', outrage or violation): composed of parts from different languages, in this case our own blend of 'spanglish'. This intentionally recalls the Dadaists use of nonsense to express dissatisfaction with a world society that continued its insane addiction to war. The user can also write their own text to use as the basis for the generated narratives, or use one of 8 classic texts, or turn the text off completely and make the story up in their head.
