    The Wave Electronic Illuminated Hypertext is a multisensory etext derived from a series of new media performances. The work explores and articulates a collection of meditations on myth, metaphor, and digital embodiment.

    An interactive assemblage of images, videodance, sound, animation, iconography, and text, The Wave creates an electronic architecture of hyper-dimensional poetic language. This electronic architecture expands and redefines the dramatic text as a fluid, animated, interactive infrastructure that exists in a liminal hyperspace between text and performance. The work expands and redefines the dance as dynamic, sensate, experiential process of inner transformation integrating the mind, body, and senses in metaphorical movement.

    tExtra.Touren is a collection of experimental literary works gassners oliver. Besides the known projects for the internet that use textual and visual elements, the hyper-literary edition including recent mail and copy-art projects as well as audio recordings of lectures. tExtra.Touren share consists of the "paper-copy mail.art ---. txt ---. --- sound. html". there go the early work seamlessly into the network since 1983 literary work on since 1996. all work gassners, whether on paper, as a copy, fax, mail or digital network literature, provide a kind of media-hacking: using simple means, the medium broken, to bring its procedures have revealed. gassner initiated a new poetics of writing, under network conditions, which can break the language use.   5. Sphiros

    Sphiros presents the fictional tale of what happens when a timequake creates a world that really is open source. It is staged in a modified version of the WithinSpace interface (created by net artist Jason Nelson) for the Adobe Flash platform.

    This is an exercise in arrangement -- most of its elements are ripped and remixed from a variety of sources both print and web; some are original.

    Each layer of Sphiros can be populated by any content -- text, image, video, sound, Flash animation, webpage, etc. These layers are then stacked on top of each other. A combination of scaling and transparency allows the user to move through the piece.

    Initially, Sphiros was presented in a web-distributed, mouse-driven format. For the installation at AI.ELO, the piece makes use of low-cost headtracking techniques. Users don a pair of infrared LED glasses and stand in front of a screen where a Nintendo WiiMote acts as an infrared camera. A combination of open-source and custom software translates the position of a user in realspace into a position inside of Sphiros.

    This version of Sphiros is set to 'Se Izst' by Icelandic wunderband, Sigur Rós.

  6. Takeluma

    Takeluma is an invented writing system for representing speech sounds and the visceral responses they can evoke. Takeluma explores the complex relationships between speech, meaning, and writing. While modern linguistics suggests that the relationship between signifier and signified has no discernible pattern, poets and marketing experts alike know that the sounds of words can evoke images which elicit an emotional impact. The project explores the ways that speech sounds can give rise to a kinesthetic response. The Takeluma project comprises several animated and print works and a reactive installation.

    Poemas combinatórios e generativos, programados de modo a permitir ao leitor alterar dinamicamente, em tempo de execução, os paradigmas que alimentam a sintaxe original; Som gerado aleatoriamente a partir de bases de dados previamente gravadas, com vozes e texturas sonoras; Além de alterar o poema, o leitor pode guardar as suas versões/leituras num weblog disponível na Internet. Duas versões disponíveis (versão horizontal e versão vertical) dão aos leitores a possibilidade de navegar entre distintas tipologias de página: em modo de panorama ou em modo de página html: A versão horizontal (panorama) inclui video, permite ao leitor alterar as palavras e enviar para weblog; A versão vertical (html) permite ao leitor alterar as palavras, alterar as listas e enviar para weblog.

  8. SeeVeniceandDie

    Le poème au coeur de SeeVeniceAndDie a été écrit en 2005 pour "L'isola dei Poeti" - événement initié à l'occasion de la 51ème biennale de Venise - par Marco Nereo Rotelli sous le commissariat d'exposition d'Achille Bonito Oliva et Caterina Davinio pour Virtual Island. Ce poème est un genre de sabir ou autrement dit, un pérégrinisme. Mélange de plusieurs langues dans le même discours, SeeVeniceandDie met en scène, en médias, en programmes, ces actes de langages, à travers un automate de synthèse vocale qui lit dans sa langue naturelle, l'anglais et se risque aussi en français et en italien, deux langues qui me sont devenues - à moi - culturellement naturelles. Il a fallu "plier" quelque peu l'orthographe des mots pour faciliter l'interprétation de Vicky, voix synthétique féminine du système OSX, afin de parfaire sa prononciation. S'il a ici [ pour Internet ] la forme d'une vidéo de 8 minutes et 30 secondes, il est en fait un poème variable composé d'un prologue et trois actes, se joue au clavier et souris et répond aux sollicitations des lettres formant le mot "Venise" dans ses trois langues.

    It is a digital poem that can only be read by screaming to the screen. Once the user screams the verses of the poem appear and when the user stops, the words are not longer seen. It is an interactive sound poem. It can be related to Loss of Grasp by Serge Bouchardon and Vincent Volckaert and Zang Tumb Tumb by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. Aburto is a Peruvian poet and professor at the PUCP. Having worked in Communicative Arts has permitted him use different formats for his poetry: oral, written and digital. His Peruvian origin can be seen in the way his work relates to other 2000s writers from Peru: vindication of publication of poetry and interest for combining conceptual, textual and visual aspects. In this work, the use of the screen, the microphone and the appearing and disappearing letters permit a communicative situation between poet and reader, the reader becomes a creator of the poem because his participation is essential for watching the words. The effort of crying out loud that the work demands to the reader increases the effects of the messages of desperation and vindication

    In het filmpje BACTERIËN van dichter Paul Bogaert en beeldend kunstenaar Jan Peeters worden twee gedichten gecombineerd met beelden uit een Amerikaanse film over hoe men het best toiletten schoonmaakt. De schoonmaker neemt enthousiast de kleinste hoekjes onder handen terwijl bacteriën en dienstmededelingen zich verspreiden en vermenigvuldigen.

    De Engelse versie van het filmpje (BACTERIA) werd geselecteerd voor de competitie van het ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival 2014 in Berlijn. De jury selecteerde 29 films uit 770 inzendingen uit 70 landen. Het ZEBRA Festival, dat plaatsvond van 16 tot 19 oktober 2014, is het belangrijkste internationale platform voor poëziefilms.
