  4. Sueyeun Juliette Lee

    Korean American poet Sueyeun Juliette Lee grew up in Virginia. She earned a BA from the University of Virginia and an MFA from the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and studied for a PhD at Temple University. Lee is the author of That Gorgeous Feeling (2008), Underground National (2010), Solar Maximum (2015), and No Comet, That Serpent in the Sky Means Noise (2017) among other books. Her writing focuses on birthright, homeland, and identity. In an interview for Entropy magazine, Lee said, “To write and read a poem is to potentially shake loose the drapes over the machinery, to assist in sensitizing new reading and mindfulness habits that can allow us to see otherwise or through. … Those who take on poetry as their primary means for engaging the world are choosing to take on this central conundrum of sign, affect, and perception that shapes the consensual reality we inhabit.”

  5. Clara Fernández-Vara

    Clara Fernández-Vara is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Singapore-MIT GAMBIT Game Lab. Her work concentrates on adventure games, as well as the integration of stories in simulated environments. She is particularly interested in cross-media artifacts from the standpoint of textual analysis and performance.

    Clara holds a Ph.D. in Digital Media from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2009). She earned a BA in English Studies by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2000), and was awarded a fellowship from the La Caixa Foundation to pursue a Masters in Comparative Media Studies from MIT (2004).

    Aden Evens researches across a variety of disciplines, including new media studies, philosophy, mathematics, music, and literature. His teaching focuses on new media and digital technologies, but also includes forays into composition, post-structuralist theory, music, and literature, especially post-modern literature. His chief aim as a teacher is to encourage students to think critically, a skill that, with practice, transfers readily to every domain of human activity.

    Bobenhausen studied German Literature and (Computer-)Linguistics in Freiburg, Germany. He taught linguistics between 2000 and 2010 at the University of Freiburg. Bobenhausen planned and managed several internet projects (anthologies, dictionaries, registries, poetry generators). Since 2011 Bobenhausen works as a Product Manager.

    Net artist, curator, writer, street artist, activist, educationalist and musician. Emerging in the late 80's from the streets exploring creativity via agit-art tactics. Using unofficial, experimental platforms such as the streets, pirate radio, net broadcasts, BBS systems, performance, intervention, events, pamphlets, warehouses and gallery spaces. In the early nineties was co-sysop (systems operator) for a while with Heath Bunting for Cybercafe BBS.

     

    Co-director and co-founder, with artist Ruth Catlow of the net arts collectives and communities- furtherfield.org, furthernoise.org, netbehaviour.org, also cofounder and co-curator/director of the gallery space called, London UK. Currently involved in co-running and getting the Node London festival happening for March 2006. Also co-curating various contemporary Media Arts exhibitions, nationally and Internationally.
