  7. L.A.I.R.E.

    L.A.I.R.E. was established in 1989 and stands for "Lecture - Art - Innovation - Recherche -Écriture". It was an association of innovative writers including Claude Maillard, Tibor Papp, Philippe Bootz, Jean-Marie Dutey and Frédéric de Velay, who saw animated poetry as a third wave in the domain of digital poetryu (or "poésie númerique"). According to Alain Vuillemin, L.A.I.R.E. was later renamed Mots-Voir.

  8. Laboratoire Musique et Informatique de Marseille (MIM)

    MIM was established in 1984 as a need to create in Marseille a tool for pluridisciplinary research on music and contemporary musical practices. The lab brings together areas of creation and theory in composition, at the intersection of new technologies, arts and sciences, such as visual arts, multimedia, dance, digital poetry, literature, etc.

    Original description (French):

    Le MIM (association loi de 1901) est né en 1984 du besoin de doter Marseille d'un outil de réflexion pluridisciplinaire sur les musiques et les pratiques musicales contemporaines.

    Il a pour particularité d'être un laboratoire de recherche où les travaux sont menés par des créateurs et non des théoriciens. Les projets de recherche naissent donc des questions se rapportant aux problématiques de création et aux pratiques musicales contemporaines (notamment consécutives à la mise en œuvre de nouvelles technologies).

  9. Centro de Literatura Portuguesa

    The Centre for Portuguese Literature (CLP) is a Unit of Research and Development funded by the Science and Technology Foundation (FCT) since 2003. The Centre is located at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Coimbra, and it includes researchers based both at the University of Coimbra and at other research institutions. This new unit of R&D has resumed the work of the former Centre of Portuguese Literature, which was originally established in the 1980s. At present, the Centre has two main working spaces: the CLP room and the Ferreira Lima seminar room.
