  1. E-poetry: the Palpable Side of Signs

    In his famous essay entitles “Linguistics and Poetics” (1958) Roman Jakobson asserted that the “[poetic function] stresses the palpable side of signs”. Paul Valéry states that “a poem […] should create the illusion of an indissoluble compound of sound and sense”.

    We traditionally call poetry an artistic experience related to the word both in oral and written form, whose composition unity is the verse line (alexandrine verse, free verse, etc.). The oral medium should be normally richer. The written poetry, in fact, translated into the page only the segmental part of a text, but it is not able to show the over-segmental part as the tone, modulation, etc. However, we can say that this discrepancy has been cancelled: for instance, emphasis, oral procedure concerning duration, has its graphic form highlighted.

  2. Hypertextual Forms and Functioning of Their Units in Russian Literature of the 10s of XXth century – 10s of the XXIst century

    The theoretical background of the paper lies in postmodernist writings of Jacques Lacan, Jean-Luc Lyotard, Giles Deleuze, Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida and Roland Barthes as well as in hypertextual studies carried out in the 1990's and 2000's by Jay David Bolter, Stuart Moulthrop, George Landow, Espen Aarseth, and Janet Murray. Four basic approaches to the hypertextal studies are surveyed: poststructuralist, describing but not naming the subject (R.Barthes, J.Derrida, J.Deleuze); utopian, dating back to the 1990 and claiming that hyperfiction could replace all the linear and paper communication (J.Bolter, M.Bernstein); narratological, tracing the nature of hyperfiction in the history of literature and narration (J.Murray), and ludological (E. Aarseth) speculating on hypertext’s correlation with game. Building on all of those, the paper suggests syntagmatic approach. The research is aimed to build a meaningful opposition between non-hierarchial hypertextual language and the paradigm of the natural language. The hypertext is defined as a text consisting of combinatorial permutable units that require an active reader.

  3. poésie dynamique

    Pour analyser la poésie sur ordinateur et la poésie sur le Web (bien que ce dernier n’étant qu’un dérivatif du premier, puisque le coeur, le fond, l’essentiel même du Web réside dans l’ordinateur) nous avons à déblayer le terrain de la route qui nous y a conduit. Il est évident que cette poésie n’a pas surgi du néant. L’approche peut se faire selon trois axes: le premier étant la poésie d’aspect classique mais combinatoire, le deuxième la poésie visuelle et le troisième la poésie
    sonore.
