Sérgio Monteiro de Almeida is a visual artist and poet who has exhibited his work all around the world:52 Venice International Biennial (Poetry Island, curator Caterina Davignio, 2005); Bienal Internacional de Poesia Visual e Alternativa do Mexico (1987, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1998) and Harvard’s Visual Poetry exhibition (2004, 2005).
