Karl Erik Schøllhammer

Professor Associado e Diretor do Departamento de Letras. Karl Erik Schøllhammer é professor associado e Diretor do Departamento de Letras da PUC-Rio. É doutor em Semiótica e Literatura Latino-americana pela Aarhus Universitet (1991) e atua na área de Letras, principalmente na literatura comparada e na teoria da literatura com ênfase nos estudos visuais e nas questões estéticas ligadas à interface entre a literatura e as outras artes. Pesquisador com bolsa de produtividade do CNPq foi Cientista do Nosso Estado da Faperj (2007-2009).

Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Letters at PUC-Rio, Karl Erik Schøllhammer holds a PhD in Semiotics and Latin American Literature by Aarhus Universitet (1991) and is active in the field of Letters, more specifically in comparative literature and literature theory with an emphasis on visual studies and aesthetic topics concerning the interface between literature and other arts. A researcher with a productivity grant by CNPq, he belonged to the Scientists of Our State program run by FAPERJ (2007-2009).
