Jeff Morris
Jeff Morris is Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Texas A&M University Department of Performance Studies and Studio Director in its Performance Technology (PerfTech) program. His scholarly writing and creative work use technology-based performance environments to explore how technological intervention affects the experience of being human, e.g., sensing shared presence or authenticity in live interactions. His performance and installation work has been presented in venues including the Milano Triennale museum, the Austin Museum of Art, and a site-specific work in the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library and Museum that was awarded Third Prize in the Music in Architecture—Architecture in Music international symposium. Publications appear in Metaplasticity in Virtual Worlds and Leonardo Music Journal. He earned his doctorate in the Center for Experimental Music and Intermedia at the University of North Texas
