Frank Dufour

Frank Dufour currently is a member of the Laboratory “Musique et Informatique de Marseille” for which he is conducting research on the concept of Time Icons and on the relations between music and visual expressions. This research project has two main applications : The first is dedicated to the visualization of music and explores the use of images and animations, as a means to facilitate the understanding and appreciation of music. This research is conducted in relation with the Dallas International School. The second application is dedicated to the translation of images into sounds and music and is conducted in conjunction with the Dallas Museum of Art.

Frank Dufour is actively involved in The University of Texas at Dallas’ “First Person Cultural Trainer” project developed for the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command and Joint Forces Command.
