A process that is part of the Pathfinders methodology devised by Stuart Moulthrop and Dene Grigar defined as "any extended or substantial encounter with a digital text . . . that must take place on equipment as close as possible in configuration to the system the author used to create her work or on which she might have reasonably intended the work to first appear" (Moulthrop & Grigar, 2018, The Routledge Companion to Media Studies and Digital Humanities). The word is capitalized in this context in order to distinguish it from other uses.
