    Life 2.0 er en spillbar versjon av kortprosateksten ved samme navn som opprinnelig ble utgitt i Arnebergs samling MEPÅNO. Livet fremstilles som en rekke funksjoner som aktivers gjennom et spillkonsoll-lignende grensesnitt. Spilleren/leseren trykker bokstaver og bokstavkombinasjoner på tastaturet som gjør at ord (KÅT - SULTEN - SULTEN - NOK) leses opp med en matt stemme og samtidig vises i bakgrunnen av skjermbildet. Livet i 2.0 versjon fremstilles som meget begrenset - kanskje som et dataspill? - og sentrerer seg rundt grunnleggende behov som mat, drikke, søvn og sex.

    written in java this applet gets a lot of rss feeds (in the french zone) in real time and composes, in real time also and as a work in progress, with them visual poems; each of the results are exported to my local computer in order to finally get, at the end of the 2013 year, some kind of archive of the "news" by which we are invaded each day---- and that we very often forget the day after! - it 's a kind of work about our "media-collective-memory". The words are treated in relationship with frequency in the news: the biggest are the most frequents. But not allways the most importants...

  4. Massive Comprehension Machine

    Massive Comprehension Machine s an audiovisual device for simultaneous navigation in two semantic networks generated in real time facing a unique concept: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but addressed from two opposing views: the media that operates on one or other side of the border. Can semantic netwoks map thoughts? Can they disclose structures that reflect the way we see the world? This device allows the investigation between the subjectivity and imaginary of one and other, and also from the subjectivity of the visitor, dealing with the complexity of one of the greatest conflicts inherited from the 20th century. [It] is designed to require an active participation of the user to deepen the concept that he/she would like to explore. In this way, the user is involved in the conflict and can ask himself/ herself questions such as: What is important and what is not? Why the semantic network gives me this result? The keys to navigate in a semantic network with thousands of nodes are hierarchies. We can surf the net from more present concepts or of greater size, and zoom up towards words with less relevance.

  7. Lucid Mapping and Codex Transformissions in the Z-Buffer

    Lucid Mapping and Codex Transformissions in the Z-Buffer is an investigation of textual and narrative possibilities within three dimensional on-screen environments (specifically Virtual Reality Modeling Language, or VRML). Functionally, it is both a text to be read and a space to be surveyed. The various elements of the title -- "lucid mapping," "transformissions," "the Z-buffer" -- are all glossed within the VRML environment itself, so I will not discuss them in detail here. The project evolved from a set of early schematic models. These experiments in "spatial heuristics," as I called them, were not conceived as displays of technical virtuosity; rather, I hoped to begin exploring some of the questions raised by three-dimensional information spaces: How well suited are they to organizing documents according to the non-linear principles pioneered by hypertext developers? How can the addition of a third dimension extend (hyper)textual visualization? What are the conditions required for "narrative" in three-dimensional on-screen environments? And so on . . .

    Yellow Arrow began in 2004 as a street art project on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Since then, Yellow Arrow has grown to over 35 countries and 380 cities globally and become a way to experience and publish ideas and stories via text messaging on your mobile phone and interactive maps online.

    Participants place uniquely-coded Yellow Arrow stickers to draw attention to different locations and objects - a favorite view of the city, an odd fire hydrant, the local bar. By sending an SMS from a mobile phone to the Yellow Arrow number beginning with the arrow's unique code, Yellow Arrow authors connect a story to the location where they place their sticker. Messages range from short poetic fragments to personal stories to game-like prompts to action. When another person encounters the Yellow Arrow, he or she sends its code to the Yellow Arrow number and immediately receives the message on their mobile phone. The website yellowarrow.net extends this location-based exchange, by allowing participants to annotate their arrows with photos and maps in the online gallery of Yellow Arrows placed throughout the world.
