    Serge Bouchardon is Professor at the University of Technology of Compiegne (France), where he teaches interactive writing. His research focuses on digital creation, in particular digital literature.

    As an author, he is interested in the way the gestures specific to the Digital contribute to the construction of meaning. His creations have been exhibited in many venues in Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East. They have been selected in various online reviews (bleuOrange, Hyperrhiz, SpringGun, The New River). The creation Loss of Grasp (http://lossofgrasp.com/) won the New Media Writing Prize 2011.

  2. Talan Memmott

    Talan Memmott is a hypermedia writer/artist, his hypermedia work is generally Web-based and freely accessible on the Internet. Memmott has taught digital art, electronic writing, and new media studies in the Digital Culture and Communication Program at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden, the Teledramatic Arts and Technology Department at California State University Monterey Bay; the Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Colorado Boulder, and the Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently a researcher at University of Bergen. Memmott holds an MFA in Literary Arts/Electronic Writing from Brown University and a PhD in Interaction Design from Malmö University. Memmott was a co-editor for the Electronic Literature Collection, Volume 2 (ELO), and the ELMCIP Anthology of European Electronic Literature.

  5. Morten Søndergaard

    Morten Søndergaard was born in 1964 in Copenhagen. He studied literature and has published five poetry collections: Sahara i mine hænder (Sahara in my hands, 1992), Ild og tal (Fire and Figures, 1994), Bier dør sovende (Bees Die While Sleeping, 1998), Vinci, senere (Vinci, later, 2002), Fedtdigte (Fat poems, 2004); poetry in prose: Ubestemmelsessteder (Indestinations, 1996), and At holde havet tilbage med en kost (To Hold the Ocean with a Broom, 2004); and a novel, Tingenes orden (Order of Things, 2000). He received a grant of Danish National Art Council for three years and was short listed for the Nordic Literature Prize. He has translated works of Jorge Luis Borges and worked as an editor at various literary magazines. His work has been translated into several languages.

  6. Torbjørn Skårild

    Torbjørn Skårild (b. 1964) studied at the Academy of Art in Trondheim and the Art Academy in Dusseldorf. Skårild has made two short films; All as Nothing at All (1994) - for which he received the Terje Vigen Award at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad, and nominated for the Norwegian National Film Award Amanda for Best Short Film - and All in All (2003), which was awarded the Grand Prix at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad 2003, and won the National Film Award Amanda for Best Short Film in 2003.

  8. Edward A. Shanken

    Edward A. Shanken writes and teaches about the entwinement of art, science, and technology with a focus on interdisciplinary practices involving new media. He is Dorothy Kayser Hohenberg Chair of Excellence in Art History at University of Memphis, a member of the Media Art History faculty at the Donau University in Krems, Austria, and core visiting tutor at Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam. Prior academic posts include Universitair Docent of New Media at University of Amsterdam, Docent in Comparative Arts and Media at VU University, Amsterdam, Executive Director of the Information Science + Information Studies program at Duke University, and Professor of Art History and Media Theory at Savannah College of Art and Design. Fellowships include National Endowment for the Arts, American Council of Learned Societies, UCLA, University of Bremen, and Washington University in St. Louis.  Dr. Shanken earned a Ph.D. and MA in Art History at Duke University, an MBA at Yale University, and a BA at Haverford College.

  9. Timo Parvela

    Timo Parvela (born May 19, 1964 in Jyväskylä) is a Finnish author of juvenile fiction.

    Parvela matriculated from secondary school in 1983 and graduated from Jyväskylä Teacher Training College in 1988.[1] He worked at a series of elementary school teaching posts for six years — first in Petäjävesi in the Jyväskylä sub-region and later in Espoo — until the mid-1990s.[1] Since 1996 he has been a freelance writer.

    In addition to numerous children's books he has written television screenplays both for children's audiences and for adults, as well as scripts for Finnish radio.

  10. Deena Larsen

    Pioneering author of hypertext fiction and poetry who has led numerous writer's workshops at electronic literature related events (including ACM hypertext conferences from 1997-2003, DAC conferences, ELO conferences from 2002-2024), organised conferences such as the Cybermountain Colloquium and hosted the Electronic Literature Organization's online chats on electronic literature from 2000-2005. She also has hosted Second Tuesday Salons from 2019-2024. She was the artist in residence at Washington State University at Vancouver 2023-2024. Deen has written over 50 works of electronic literature.
