Mariusz Pisarski
Founder and editor of Techsty - the only journal in Poland devoted exclusively to electronic literature (since 2002). Consultant and producer of several Polish e-lit works, translator of hypertext fictions by Judy Malloy, Stuart Moulthrop and Mark Amerika. Promotes electronic literature in popular press, literary circles and on the academic field. His PhD on hypertext (final stages) is an effort to bound the roots of contemporary poetics with medium specific qualities of network environments. In other words: "Roman Jakobson meets Espen Aarseth". The task in question is still much needed, after over simplifications of the nineties hypertext debate.

Rui Torres holds a Ph.D. in Luso-Brazilian Literature (UNC -Chapel Hill, USA, 2002), was a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Foundation for Science and Technology (COS - PUC-SP, Brazil, 2005-07), and has Habilitation in Information Sciences - Multimedia Studies (UFP, Porto, 2013).
Professor of Communication Sciences at University Fernando Pessoa (UFP), teaching seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in semiotics, literature and hypermedia. Visiting Professor in M.A. programmes of the NOVA University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Santiago de Compostela and Granada (Spain), UNAM (Mexico) and University of Tallinn (Estonia). Lecturer in the Erasmus Intensive Program in European Digital Literatures at the University Complutense of Madrid (Spain).
Director of the book series Cibertextualidades (UFP Press) and co-editor of the Electronic Literature Series (Bloomsbury Publishing). Member of several editorial boards and scientific committees of academic Journals and Conferences.
Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of the ELO-Electronic Literature Organization.

Chris Joseph
Chris Joseph is a British/Canadian writer and artist who works primarily with electronic text, sound and image, and sometimes publishes work under the pseudonym babel.
His past projects include Animalamina, a collection of interactive multimedia poetry for children, and the interactive multimedia fiction series Inanimate Alice that has been incorporated into educational courses around the world. Inanimate Alice is one of several collaborations with Canadian author Kate Pullinger, including The Breathing Wall - a novel that responds to the reader's rate of breathing - and the collaborative fiction Flight Paths.

Jeff T. Johnson
Jeff T. Johnson is a writer, critic, and editor living in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles and lived in Oakland, CA for 16 years before relocating to the East Coast.
His poetry is forthcoming or has appeared in Boston Review, 1913: a journal of forms, dandelion, Slope, VOLT, and Forklift, Ohio, among other publications. Critical essays have appeared in Sink Review, The Rumpus, Coldfront, The Aviary, Poetry Project Newsletter, and elsewhere. A founding editor of Kitchen Sink magazine (2002-2007), he is Editor in Chief at LIT and co-edits Dewclaw. He is currently writing a book of musicological poetics called Trouble Songs.
Also a digital artist, Jeff is at work on Letters from the Archiverse, an ongoing visual poem composed in architectural modeling space using AutoCAD design software. He also collaborates on SPECIAL AMERICA, a digitally mediated theoretical performance. He is a member of the Electronic Literature Organization (ELO).

Cheryl E. Ball
Cheryl Ball is an associate professor in the Department of English at Illinois State University where she teaches classes in multimodal composition, digital media, composition theory, and digital publishing. She is also editor of Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy.
Her teaching, research, and service focuses on multimodal composition practices in English studies. She teaches and studies how writers—whether they are students or scholars in the field—compose multimodal texts, which combine linguistic, visual, audio, spatial, and/or gestural modes of communication. Her aim is to help authors choose the most appropriate genre(s), technologies, media, and modes they need in a particular writing situation. The result of this pedagogical and scholarly work is a body of research built on student-produced and peer-reviewed multimodal scholarship.

Владимир Светлов родился в 1973 году в Огре (Латвия). После школы изучал психологию в институте социальных технологий. В начале 90-х увлекся фотографией, поэзией, кино и видеоартом. Ранние эксперименты с кино привели к созданию первых короткометражных фильмов: «двойная смерть Тома В.» (в соавторстве с Дмитрием Ранцевым) и двух слайд-фильмов «Май Ок'тябрь и юль», «кокосовое печенье по французски».
После периода работы в рекламных агентствах, фэшн и рекламная фотография становятся его профессией. www.vladimirsvetlov.com. Владимир сотрудничает с ведущими рижскими модными журналами. Pastaiga, Лилит, Santa, Космополитен, FHM публикуют его работы.
В соавторстве с Артуром Пунте создает несколько концептуальных проектов: в 1997 году - «Луч» - выставку рекламы несуществующих духов (при участии Сергея Тимофеева, Вадима Агапова, Анны Фаныгиной, Александра Изотова), в 1999 году - «Как Хочешь» - первый онлайн «магазин» в Латвии, коллекция образов в которой владельцы сами демонстрируют свою одежду, своего рода архив уличной моды Риги.

Derek Beaulieu
Author of seven books of poetry (most recently the visual poem suite Kern), four volumes of conceptual fiction (most recently the short fiction collection Local Colour: ghosts, variations) and over 150 chapbooks, derek beaulieu’s work is consistently praised as some of the most radical and challenging in contemporary Canadian writing.
His first volume of criticism, Seen of the Crime, was published Fall 2011 by Snare Books and is now available on UBUWeb. In 2012 Bookthug published his critical edition (co-edited with Gregory Betts) of bill bissett’s seminal 1972 volume of experimental commentary RUSH: what fuckan theory and in 2013 Wilfrid Laurier University Press published Writing Surfaces: Selected Fiction of John Riddell (co-edited with Lori Emerson).
In 2013 Wilfrid Laurier University Press published Please, no more poetry: the poetry of derek beaulieu as edited by Kit Dobson. This marks the 1st time an author under 40 has been honoured by inclusion in this series.
beaulieu teaches Creative Writing, Theory and Contemporary Canadian Literature at the Alberta College of Art + Design.
