    ™ (Taras Mashtalir) is a composer and sound designer, a classical musician turned electronic music producer. His compositions are unique blend of different genres morphed together and wrapped into a new aesthetic fabric of electronic ambience. After receiving BA in Linguistics & Cross-cultural communication from Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University, Taras spent some time recording/performing in St. Petersburg and Moscow, before relocating to New York. For the past 12 years Taras achieved outstanding results and his work is acknowledged in the industry. He produced numbers of albums, collaborating with major artists such as: Patrick Leonard, legendary composer and producer (Pink Floyd, Elton John, Madonna) Lou Christie is an American singer-songwriter best known for pop hits in the 1960s. Dmitri Strizhov is a Russian-born painter and poet. The works of ™ also include multimedia installations, soundtracks for the films and animations, as well as music for TV ads and programs like Discovery Science Channel, History Channel, Speed Channel, TNT, FOX Sports, CBS etc. Taras is currently involved in several projects exploring new dimensions of digital publishing.

  2. Adrianna De Barros

    Born in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, de Barros moved to Toronto at the age of three. As a child she was mainly interested in sports; and only when she was twelve did she realize her interest in drawing. At age fifteen, her family decided to move back to her birthplace, where de Barros faced cultural challenges with her education and In high school, she choose to study art and design, deciding to pursue cinema in college. Upset with the lack of sophistication within the film schools and film industry in Portugal, she believes that Toronto "would have been a better location to pursue cinema than in Portugal." She wishes to one day have the opportunity to study filmmaking in North America. Out of high school, she began working temporarily for her family's clothing business. The experience led to a full time job as a fashion and advertising designer for the company, as well as co-running a copy center with design section.

    Dr Piotr Marecki - associate professor at the Jagiellonian University. Writer, digital media artist, publisher, translator and digital culture scholar. The head of Ha!art Publishing House (ha.art.pl) and of UBU lab (ubulab.edu.pl). In 2013-14 he did a postdoc at MIT at the Trope Tank lab. Based in Kraków, Poland.

  7. Franz Thalmair

    Franz Thalmair is an independent art critic and curator working primarily in the field of contemporary and media art. He studied Romance Philology and Linguistics at the Universities of Salzburg, Paris and Barcelona and holds a Ph.D. in Textlinguistics/Semiotics from the University of Salzburg. His work focuses on the intersections between language, art and technology, electronic literature, conceptual Internet-based art, site-specific art as well as visual arts practice in the public realm. Ultimately he explores the transfer of Internet-based art from the virtual to the real space. Currently based in Vienna/Austria, he co-founded CONT3XT.NET in 2006 with Michael Kargl (aka carlos katastrofsky) and Sabine Hochrieser. Run as a collaborative platform for the discussion and presentation of issues related to media art, projects include the book "Circulating Contexts: CURATING MEDIA/NET/ART" and exhibition.

    Nació en Puebla, Puebla, el de 24 de octubre de 1976. Narrador, ensayista y crítico literario. Licenciado en literatura por la Universidad de las Américas; y doctor en literatura española e hispanoamericana por la Universidad de Salamanca. Ha sido profesor de la Universidad Iberoamericana-Puebla, de la Escuela de Escritores de la SOGEM-Puebla, y tallerista del Instituto Tlaxcalteca de Cultura. Imparte clases en el departamento de filosofía y letras de la UDLA-Puebla. Colaborador de Crítica, DosFilos, Elementos y La Jornada Semanal, entre otras publicaciones. Becario del FOECA-Puebla en tres ocasiones. Premio Nacional de Cuento Joven Julio Torri, 2003. Parte de su obra se encuentra en las antologías: El hacha puesta en la raíz; Nuevas voces de la narrativa mexicana; y Los mejores cuentos mexicanos (ediciones 2001 y 2002).

    Christopher Crawford (born 1950) is a computer game designer and writer. He designed and programmed several important computer games in the 1980s, including Eastern Front (1941) and Balance of Power. Among developers he became known for his passionate advocacy of game design as an art form, founding both The Journal of Computer Game Design and the Computer Game Developers Conference (now called the Game Developers Conference). In 1992 Crawford withdrew from commercial game development and began experimenting with ideas for a next generation interactive storytelling system.
