   Jenny Holzer (born 1950 in Gallipolis, Ohio) is an American conceptual artist. She attended Ohio University (in Athens, Ohio), Rhode Island School of Design, and the Independent Study Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Holzer was originally an abstract artist, focusing on painting and printmaking; after moving to New York City in 1977, she began working with text as art.

   komninos, performance poet, poeted from 1985 professionally, taking his poetry to schools, community groups, hotels, music venues, prisons, coffee lounges and universities, radio and television and now the internet.

   komninos the published poet has two adult collections of poetry with the university of queensland press, 'komninos', 1991, and 'komninos by the kupful', 1994, a collection of poetry for children illustrated by peter viska and published by oxford university press, 'the baby rap and other poems', 1992, and a hard cover illustrated children's picture book published by harper/collins, 'high street, kew east', 1991.

   komninos has had three plays performed by professional theatre companies in sydney and brisbane.

   in 1992 komninos received the australian human rights award for literature and in 1993 was awarded the australia council's ros bower award for outstanding achievement in community arts.

   in 1995 komninos completed a masters of arts in creative writing at the university of queensland, he authored a cd-rom of 'cyberpoetry' for his dissertation.

   Llicenciat en Filosofia i en Història, doctor en Història contemporània, i estudiós del paradigma hipertextual i de l'art digital. A més de llibres sobre art, història, cultures de l'alimentació, estètica i edició electrònica, he implementat diversos hipertextos sobre obres d'art (com ara Las meninas, de Velázquez; Les senyoretes d'Avinyó, de Picasso; la Cripta de la Colònia Güell, de Gaudí; el Gernika, de Picasso; Aproximació ecològica a l'evolució humana; Marat assassinat, de David; o el Partenó) i he collaborat en l'anàlisi multimèdia d'obres d'art en CD-ROM i DVD. La meva àrea de recerca està centrada en la Cibercultura hipertextual, en particular, en l'anàlisi de les formes emergents de creació artística a Internet, i l'he focalitzat en els estudis sobre la interactivitat, l'imaginari ciborg i el cos digital, la telepresència, la semiòtica dels nous mitjans, l'art a l'era de la reproductibilitat digital, l'art fractal, el net.art, l'art transgènic i els museus virtuals per a l'art en xarxa.
