I Simpósio Internacional e V Simpósio Nacional de Literatura e Informática
This event plans to discuss the relation between literature, its diverse theoretical, practical and artistic perspectives, and the digital medium, giving emphasis on computer languages processing, which include the processing of natural languages, in their various forms (from statistical text analysis to web-semantics). This includes literary digital libraries and databases; reading, teaching, and learning digital support tools; digital arts and creative writing; digital treatment of literary texts; digital literary journals; writing in the digital media. These topics cover various areas of knowledge, in addition to literature, such as design, library science, computer science, linguistics, among others, also related to the event's proposal. In short, with this symposium, we intend to make clear once and for all the relationship between the area of Arts and science, technology and innovation, focusing resolutely on overcoming mutual prejudices that date ages back.

Oi Cabeça
Evento discute o futuro da literatura diante do desenvolvimento das novas mídias. Com curadoria das professoras Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda e Cristiane Costa, o Oi Cabeça vai reunir todo mês, até dezembro, estudiosos da cibercultura e grandes pensadores nacionais e internacionais no Oi Futuro do Flamengo. O projeto propõe uma reflexão sobre os rumos da literatura frente ao crescimento das mídias digitais. Dia 22 de junho, o convidado especial é o americano Scott Lindenbaum, um dos jovens fundadores da revista eletrônica Electric Literature (www.electricliterature.com) que vem sendo apontada como um dos mais inovadores meios de publicação da produção literária contemporânea, não só de autores iniciantes, como de escritores consagrados. Com uma proposta de ponta de popularizar a literatura por meio de uma distribuição alternativa e não restritiva, a Electric Literature representa uma revolução entre as revistas literárias nos Estados Unidos por abusar de todos os recursos e formatos digitais.

Poesia Visual
O projeto “Poesia Visual”, voltado para o fomento e a difusão da Poesia Visual, desde agosto de 2010, vem exibindo trabalhos de artistas com repertórios diversificados, cujas propostas estéticas situam-se na fronteira entre a poesia e as artes visuais. A atual exposição do Poesia Visual, montada na vitrine situada no corredor de entrada do Oi Futuro em Ipanema, principal suporte do projeto, reúne imagens de todas as propostas artísticas apresentadas e que contaram com a participação dos seguintes poetas visuais: Roberto Correa dos Santos, Ferreira Gullar, Tadeu Jungle, Antonio Cícero, Helena Trindade, Alberto Pucheu e Wlademir Dias Pino.

FILE POA 2011
The second edition of FILE POA - Electronic Language International Festival happens this year from January 26 to February 27, at Santander Cultural, in the historical center of Porto Alegre. The FILE Festival presents the 2nd edition of FILE Tablet and this time it shows a more comprehensive selection of applications. In the ebook, game, and entertainment categories, more then 35 apps were selected to be put in tablets that operate with 2 different systems (OS and Android).
