Theo Lutz (1932-2010), a young student of informatics at the University of Technology (TH) Stuttgart, created what he called Stochastische Texte ("Stochastic Texts") using the Zuse Z 22 electronic mainframe. Lutz published the result of his project as an essay in augenblick 4 (1959: 3-9), a journal of aesthetics edited by his professor Max Bense (1910-1990). (Source: Friedrich W.
