Short biography:

Associate research professor at the Danish Centre for Design Research, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture.

Ph.D. dissertation on the design history of the WWW in the perspective of genre and style: “WWW’s designhistorie – webudviklingen i et genre og stilteoretisk perspektiv” from the IT University of Copenhagen.

Master’s degree in Danish and art history from the University of Copenhagen. My research interests are design history, design historiography and the analysis of contemporary design-related subject fields, including in particular web design and graphic communication. Currently, I am working on a project concerning the documentation of prescriptive, normative design process methods in relation to real-life design processes as they are documented through drafts, written sources, etc. My academic point of departure is cross-aesthetic, anchored in Anglo-American design history and studies in visual and material culture.
