'Station het oor' [Station the ear] is a radio play in six instalments, that was broadcast on Radio Noord Holland in early 1994. The script was written by the first inhabitants of De Digitale Stad [The Digital City], a Dutch freenet that was funded by the city of Amsterdam.

'Station het oor' is origineel internethoorspel dat wekelijks vanaf 19 februari 1994 op Radio Noord Holland te beluisteren was. Het hoorspel werd geschreven door de eerste bewoners van DDS en was gebaseerd op discussies en bijdragen van de eerste digitale stadsbewoners.

Uit een oproep in De Digitale Stad-krant:

'Schrijf nu wat je altijd al over onze grote stad kwijt wilde. Misschien speelt het personage dat je bedenkt wel alle afleveringen mee, omdat iedereen teksten schrijft in reactie op jouw fantasie. Misschien inspireert jouw scene twintig andere schrijvers. De bijdragen kunnen rechtstreeks in De Digitale Stad worden gepost, in het Gebouw voor Kunst en Cultuur, of op flop (bij voorkeur in WP) worden gestuurd naar: Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Pol Eggermont, Marnixstraat 417, 1017 PK Amsterdam. Een redactie zal uit alle inzendingen 6 afleveringen samenstellen. Het hoorspel van De Digitale Stad wordt gemaakt door: Michiel Bolinger, Pol Eggermont (redactie en regie), Leo van der Zijden (techniek), Fons Merkies (componist), Liesbeth Reek, Jaap ten Holt, Wimie Wilhelm en Wil van der Meer (spel).
